Andolsun o sıra sıra dizilenlere, |
| By those who set the ranks in battle orderr |
|
| 2. |
Bağırıp sürenlere, |
| And those who drive away (the wicked) with reprooff |
|
| 3. |
Zikir okuyanlara, |
| And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, |
|
| 4. |
Ki Tanrınız, birdir. |
| Lo! thy Lord is surely One. |
|
| 5. |
Göklerin, yerin ve bunlar arasında bulunanların Rabbi, doğuların da Rabbidir. |
| Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. |
|
| 6. |
Biz en yakın göğü bir zinetle, yıldızlarla süsledik. |
| Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets: |
|
| 7. |
Ve (onu) itâ'at dışına çıkan her türlü şeytândan koruduk. |
| With security from every froward devil. |
|
| 8. |
O (şeyta)nlar mele-i A'lâyı (yüce melekler topluluğunu) dinleyemezler; her yandan kendilerine (ışınlar) atılır. |
| They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, |
|
| 9. |
Kovulurlar. Onlar için sürekli bir azâb vardır. |
| Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; |
|
| 10. |
Yalnız (yüce topluluktan) bir söz kapan olursa, onu da delici bir şihâb (ışın)izler. |
| Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. |
|
| 11. |
Şimdi onlara sor: Yaratılış bakımından kendileri mi daha çetin, yoksa bizim yarattıklarımız mı? Biz kendilerini yapışkan bir çamurdan yarattık. |
| Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom We have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. |

| 12. |
Hayır sen (bu muhteşem kudrete) hayran kaldın; onlarsa (seninle) alay ediyorlar. |
| Nay, but thou dost marvel when they mockk |
|
| 13. |
Kendilerine öğüt verilse öğüt almıyorlar. |
| And heed not when they are reminded, |
|
| 14. |
Bir mu'cize görseler, alay ediyorlar. |
| And seek to scoff when they behold a portentt |
|
| 15. |
Bu apaçık bir büyüden başka bir şey değildir. diyorlar. |
| And they say: Lo! this is mere magic; |
|
| 16. |
Yani biz öldüğümüz, toprak ve kemik olduğumuz zaman mı, biz mi diriltilecek mişiz? |
| When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? |
|
| 17. |
Evvelki atalarımız da mı? |
| And our forefathers? |
|
| 18. |
De ki: "Evet siz aşağılanarak (diriltileceksiniz)!" |
| Say (O Muhammad): Yea, in truth: and ye will be brought low. |
|
| 19. |
O (iş) sadece korkunç bir sesten ibârettir: Hemen onlar (diriltilmiş olarak) bakıyorlardır. |
| There is but one Shout, and lo! they beholdd |
|
| 20. |
Vah bize, bu cezâ günüdür! dediler. |
| And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgement. |
|
| 21. |
Bu, yalanlamakta olduğunuz hüküm günüdür! |
| This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. |
|
| 22. |
(Yüce Allâh meleklerine emreder): "Toplayın o zâlimleri, onların eşlerini ve taptıklarını." |
| (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worshipp |
|
| 23. |
Allah'tan başka. Onları cehennemin yoluna götürün! |
| Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; |
|
| 24. |
Durdurun onları, çünkü onlar sorguya çekileceklerdir. |
| And stop them, for they must be questioned. |
|
| 25. |
Size ne oldu ki birbirinize yardım etmiyorsunuz? |
| What aileth you that ye help not one another? |
|
| 26. |
(Başları öne eğik, utançtan yüzleri kızarmış. Cevap verecek durumda değillerdir). Hayır, onlar o gün teslim olmuşlardır. |
| Nay, but this day they make full submission. |
|
| 27. |
Birbirlerine döndüler, soruyorlar. |
| And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. |
|
| 28. |
(Uyanlar, uydukları adamlara) Dediler ki: "Siz bize sağdan gelir(güvendiğimiz yandan bize sokulup vesvese verir)diniz." |
| They say: Lo! ye used to come unto us, imposing, (swearing that ye spoke the truth). |
|
| 29. |
(Ötekiler de): "Hayır, dediler, zaten siz kendiniz inanan insanlar değildiniz." |
| They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. |
|
| 30. |
Bizim sizi zorlayacak bir gücümüz yoktu. Siz kendiniz azgın bir toplum idiniz. |
| We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. |
|
| 31. |
Artık Rabbimizin sözü bize hak oldu. Biz (hak ettiğimiz cezâyı mutlaka) tadacağız! |
| Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). |
|
| 32. |
Sizi azdırdık, çünkü biz kendimiz azmıştık(siz de bize uyunca azmış oldunuz). |
| Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. |
|
| 33. |
O gün onlar azâb (çekme)de ortaktırlar. |
| Then lo! this day they (both) are sharers in the doom. |
|
| 34. |
İşte biz, suçlulara böyle yaparız. |
| Lo! thus deal We with the guilty. |
|
| 35. |
Çünkü onlara: "Allah'tan başka tanrı yoktur!" dendiği zaman büyüklük taslarlardı. |
| For when it was said unto them, There is no God save Allah, they were scornfull |
|
| 36. |
Cinlenmiş bir şâir için biz tanrılarımızı mı terk edeceğiz? derlerdi. |
| And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet? |
|
| 37. |
Hayır, o (ne şâirdi, ne mecnun. O) gerçeği getirmiş ve elçileri de doğrulamıştı. |
| Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him). |
|
| 38. |
Siz acı azâbı tadacaksınız! |
| Lo! (now) verily ye taste the painful doomm |
|
| 39. |
Sadece yaptığınız (işler)le cezâlanıyorsunuz! |
| Ye are requited naught save what ye didd |
|
| 40. |
Ancak Allâh'ın hâlis kulları bu cezânın dışındadır. |
| Save single-minded slaves of Allah; |
|
| 41. |
Onlar için bilinen bir rızık vardır. |
| For them there is a known provision, |
|
| 42. |
(Türlü türlü) Meyvalar.Ve onlar ağırlanırlar. |
| Fruits. And they will be honouredd |
|
| 43. |
Ni'met cennetlerinde. |
| In the Gardens of delight, |
|
| 44. |
Tahtlar üzerinde, karşılıklı otururlar. |
| On couches facing one anotherr |
|
| 45. |
Önlerinde akan kaynaktan (doldurulmuş) kadehler dolaştırılır. |
| A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, |
|
| 46. |
Berrak, içenlere lezzet veren bir içki. |
| White, delicious to the drinkers, |
|
| 47. |
Onda ne sersemletme var, ne onunla sarhoş olurlar. |
| Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. |
|
| 48. |
Yanlarında da, yalnız kendilerine göz dikmiş iri gözlü eşler vardır. |
| And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, |
|
| 49. |
Saklı yumurta gibi bembeyaz eşler. |
| (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). |
|
| 50. |
Bunlar birbirine dönmüş soruyorlar: |
| And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. |
